Welcome to June!
We’re hitting that official start of summer soon here in the northern hemisphere and it’s the time of year when people start dreaming of swimming pools, beaches, and vacations. (And probably other things, but those were the first three that leapt to my mind.)
I would love to be making vacation plans, but right now we don’t have anything on our radar. I need to sit down with the hubby and figure out if it’s even remotely plausible with his work schedule.

Hi Elizabeth. Vacationing in your area of the country with my oldest son, his wife and 3 grandkids in Williamsburg, Virginia! We arrived yesterday afternoon. Guys did well driving for two days from Michigan. Last time I was in Williamsburg was 1999. Enjoying my morning coffee overlooking the resort golf course listening to birds chirping and squirrels from licking across the yard. People are traveling. Been a while since I have been around so many people! Enjoy your Sunday. Stay cool. Definitely hot and humid on the East Coast.
Have the best time! It’s definitely hot and working towards muggy — I’m always thankful I was not born in Colonial days. All those skirts! No wonder women were fainting constantly.
We’ll be down in the Williamsburg area for the weekend in July – my in-laws live down than way and we’re gathering to celebrate their 50th.

I have no plans for a summer vacation. I’d love to go somewhere after summer is over, where it’s cooler!! Right now, we’re getting some much needed rain!!
I’m saving my vacation time for a week on the Olympic Peninsula in August. Going to check it out to hopefully retire there in a little over a year. And of course…I will use it as a setting for a book :)
Yay for visiting family! Or having them visit however that works out. It has been so long for so many people to get the chance to see their relatives it makes my heart sad.
I prefer to vacation in the shoulder season, spring or fall. I definitely prefer cooler to hot for sure. :-)

Bo vacation plans for us, we haven’t been anywhere in over ten years, between work, financial and health issues we are homebodies 😔

Sometimes quiet at home is nicest.
We have a few days vacation planned at the end of June to go visit my sister-in-law, and maybe just me in July if I can. Other than that, there aren’t any other trips planned. My husband works in a resort hotel here on the Oregon coast and summer is his busy time, so we do most of our traveling/vacation during the off-season. Less tourists and crowds :-)
