Celebrating the 4th here in the D.C. area, today. My mom, the French teacher would occasionally get a question like, “Do the French have a 4th of July?”. Yes, and a 5th and a 6th… (The answer to the intended question is yes, it’s Bastille Day on July 14th.)

Happy 4th of July! We’re sticking close to home today since our town cancelled the fireworks again this year. We did buy some small ones to do at home once it gets dark. It’ll be a quiet but good day!
Thanks for sharing the pictures Valerie! I love seeing the variety of nature where I live too. We have blue heron, white egrets, all kinds of waterbirds and various butterflies as well. God’s creation is so beautiful isn’t it?
