Our last hiking day on the Sunshine Coast we headed for Smuggler Cove Provincial Park at low tide. This cove is full of nooks and crannies, so it was easy to see why it made a good location for illicit trading! It would be easy to stay hidden or to sidle around the other side of one of the many large rocks/small islands to stay hidden. These days, it’s a popular shelter for boats along the Strait of Georgia.

I’d like to point out I climbed that rock, which is 12-15′ high. That may not be a big deal to some of you young, fit things, but it was quite an achievement for me! It would be an island at high tide.

I love your pics!! BC is now on my bucket list! Actually, I’ve been wanting to go to Canada ever since I went to the Canadian theater at Epcot many years ago! Then, add in Jeanette Oke’s Canadian mounties and I’m hooked! Her books I should say, not the series from the books, as I haven’t seen any of those.

I last saw Niagara when I was 13. I’m guessing the area is a little more commercialized now than it was way back then! It would be fun to see it again, though.
