Happy Sunday! We’re continuing our gratitude theme for November and this week I’ve been grateful for rain. Australia typically experiences either drought conditions or flooding rains. There’s often no happy middle ground. I’m thankful we’re currently in a La Niña weather pattern and receiving beautiful, soaking rain where I live in south eastern Australia. Flooding rains may be experienced in northern Australia soon when the summer cyclone season tops up the river systems to overflowing. Today I’m praying for the inland communities in central and western NSW who are dealing with flood events. I’ll also praise God’s name and be thankful. To Him be the glory.

Trudy says
I can relate!! Here in Florida we’re in our last days of Hurricane season, with no hurricanes coming anywhere close to us this year! So very thankful for that, as I’m not sure I could have handled that on top of everything else this year! Actually, I know I could have because God would have been with me through that, too, but I’m extremely thankful I didn’t have to deal with one this year! We’ve also not had the amount of rain we usually get in my area, but we aren’t in drought conditions, either.
Alicia Haney says

Hi Trudy, I’m so glad you haven’t had to deal with hurricanes this year. I hope the rains will arrive soon without hurricanes. Today we’ll only reach a maximum of 12C. The wind is howling and a storm is brewing. It’s weird to be wearing winter clothes when we’re only two weeks away from December and the start of summer. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Alicia, I’m glad to hear this. Good health is something I don’t take for granted. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says

Ausjenny says
The wild weather is bad right now. Parts of SA up north are flooded too (There is a couple with 2 kids stranded in the outback due to flood waters and having things dropped to them as it could be weeks till they can drive out).
Where I am not so much rain but the wind is cold and its like the middle of winter. I shouldn’t have a fire going in the middle of November!
Priscila Perales says
I hadn’t really thought about La Niña/El Niño in a while, but will probably be hearing about them in the news next month or in a couple of months. I’m glad about the rain for you and am thankful for the sunnier days over here.
Amy Perrault says
It’s been rainy here the past couple days.
Sylvain P says
I enjoy rainy days here to relax & enjoy inside time & get extra rest
Narelle Atkins says
