It’s the last Sunday of Advent. Christmas is on Saturday. And if you’ve been out and about at all lately, I imagine you’ve noticed a definite pick up in busyness. At least, I know I certainly have. More traffic. More lines. More frazzled people.
I’m always taken by surprise when I run into it, and I know I shouldn’t be. It’s certainly easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle. And I know you can be a little frantic and not lose sight of Jesus — but it certainly seems easier to keep focused on His birth when I’m not running around like a headless chicken.
So this is me praying for you to have a peaceful, Jesus-filled week before Christmas.

I went out to run an errand yesterday and then met a friend for lunch. Yes, traffic was bad! I try to avoid going anywhere on Saturday, and I know the Christmas rush is on, too. During this time of year, I much prefer staying home! Today, I’ll be going to church, then a friend is coming over, and then I’ll start my packing list and start packing for my Christmas trip. I’m not looking forward to the crowds at the airport!
Oh man. Yes I imagine the airport will be crazy. Have a safe trip!
I’m gearing up for my final big grocery shop before Christmas. Not looking forward to it at all! But at the same time I am grateful that we can actually get groceries and Christmas treats. There are so many who can’t.
Yes for sure! I have that on my list for this week as well. And I’m also not looking forward to it. :)
I had to make a run to the store yesterday, and dreaded it being crowded. It wasn’t! I guess being a week before Christmas, people weren’t panicking yet :-) I was thankful!
Merry Christmas!!
Oh I’m so glad you had a less fraught trip!
That sounds about right. Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
To you as well!
Best to avoid all the busyness where possible.
Definitely!
We just need a couple of things from the grocery, which we will be getting sometime this week. May you and your family have a Very Merry and Blessed Christmas.
Thanks! You and yours as well!
Merry Christmas! We just finished our baking. I still have wrapping as well as Christmas deliveries to do tomorrow. We will be cooking Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. God bless you all.
Merry Christmas!
I finished baking today after church so I could pack tins for the neighbors. Merry Christmas blessings.
I shoveled last night & spent today relaxing with my family!!! I hope you have a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!
Its amazing how busy it gets and especially on Christmas Eve. Shops like the supermarket are closed only on Christmas day but you would think they were closed for over a week.
I hope you all have a Blessed Christmas
Merry Christmas to you all!
Merry Christmas everyone at IR! I hope you all have a blessed time with family/friends or otherwise and that the light of Christ would shine in your hearts even brighter.
Jesus Christ is born!
Oh my…I still need to do some shopping…
There is no need to publish this comment but I was looking at the specials and Toni Shiloh’s book All the Moore is 99cents, not free. Post says free till 12/31.
Thanks.
