The old dog (you can just see his large black form walking away from the camera) doesn’t care that it’s pitch dark at seven in the morning; he still needs to go out! But sometimes I look back at the house and see more beauty than I expected, especially when the string of lights in the hedge is glowing through a thick layer of snow. I’m thankful for so many things in moments like this: a warm home, plenty to eat, strength and health, the beauty of nature, and a loving Savior definitely top the list

Such beautiful images. I’m not sure I’d like it to be still dark at 7 in the morning.
I have a friend living in Alaska and she shares photos of their mid-morning sunrises and early afternoon sunsets in December! We have it pretty good here – and have long days in summer. :)
Love the photos & Congrats
Thank you!
Very nice!!!
Thank you!
Beautiful pictures. And, for sure, plenty to be grateful for!
So.Very.Much to be thankful for!!!!
Hi Valerie! It is 7 am in the Mitten State and still dark outside. We have newly fallen snow this morning – about 2 inches (5 cm). It is 21 degrees Fahrenheit (-6 C), so the snow is not big and fluffy; but still beautiful. Yes even during the continued pandemic, so much to be thankful for: warm home, food on our table, health, nature, family, friends, and faith. Best wishes on the beautiful Sunday. Sunrise in an hour.
This morning, we’re -2º Celsius with no fresh snow — we had 4-6″ on Thursday, so it’s definitely still winter here too!
Such beautiful images. They send chills down my spine whilst sweltering away in the heat and humidity here. I prefer waking up with the light, though it’s odd to me waking and going to sleep in both light or dark depending on which hemisphere/season it is. Thank you.
We live far enough from the equator that waking up in the dark isn’t unusual – we get that for several months of the year. But it’s rare (here) to go to bed BEFORE dark, even in summer, since the sun sets by 9pm.
Beautiful photos!!
Thank you!
Beautiful pictures! I honestly don’t know what 7am outside looks like here, as I’m still in bed! I used to be up and getting ready to leave, but that was before I was Mom’s caregiver. She definitely rubbed off on me during those 9 years, cause I don’t get out of bed before 7:30 now, unless I set the alarm because I have to be somewhere! That doesn’t happen often, either!!
I don’t set my alarm very often either. I almost always wake up between 6:45 and 7:15 (ish) unless the dog is very restless. He’s old (nearly 14) and big (over 120#), so if he’s awake and wandering around or asking to go out, he’s hard to ignore!
Yay! I’ve been waiting for His Secret Daughter to go on sale!
Then this is your chance!
My husband is always up earlier than me and lets the dog out!
Mine often does, too! But sometimes it’s me :)
Have a blessed Sunday!
You, too!
Hi, thank you for sharing the photos, they are beautiful. Have a great week and stay safe. Congratulations to the winners.

Thanks, Debra! Have a great week.
BRRRR….that’s too much snow & too cold for me…lol! But your pictures sure are pretty, especially the twinkly lights shining through on your bushes.
Congrats to this weeks winners!
I guess that’s why God created a variety of climates! Have a great week.
