Mary Preston says
January has been hot, wet, sultry and stormy. Pretty typical.
Ausjenny says
Like Mary said its been hot here. I think we have had one of the hottest Januarys in years, We are not use to humidity or the temps not going below 22C over night which happened for most of the past week. thankfully we had a cooler day yesterday and today is a dry heat and going down to around 15 overnight. then back up tomorrow.
I love the photos.
Dianne says
Indeed, hot, humid, four seasons in one day and a few more months of it to go. So thankful to whoever God inspired to create air conditioning!
Jcp says
Congratulations to all the winners!
Pam Whorwell says
We live in Alabama and it’s been cold here too! We’ve had to let the faucets drip most nights this month.
Valerie Comer says
Our summers here tend to be hot/dry OR cooler/wetter. We don’t tend to have high humidity and heat at the same time!
Valerie Comer says
Thanks! I find I can manage the heat much better if it cools down enough at night for a good sleep!
Valerie Comer says
YES on AC! Here in BC we broke all kinds of heat records this summer. We only have a couple of AC window units (all we really need most of the time) but those with none at all suffered terribly, and dozens died.
Valerie Comer says
Thanks!
Valerie Comer says
Wow, that IS cold for you guys! Hope it warms up a little soon.
Trudy says
Florida finally decided to participate in winter!! Lows in some places were in the 20s last night. Where I am, we were to be 30, and it got there! It was 51 in the house this morning when I got up at 6. I’m enjoying it! We’re to be done to 35 tonight, but Thursday and Friday we’ll be close to 80 again.
Paula Marie says
Thank you all so much!! We had our coldest day in years today at 24 degrees this morning!
Alicia Haney says
Congratulations to the winners and thank you for my win. Here in west Texas it has been warm and and has also been cold, typical for Texas weather. We might get some snow this coming Thursday , it’s supposed to get very cold, our low is supposed to be 15 and the hight in the low 20’s, so we shall see. Have a great week and stay safe.
Jessica B. says
Here in Ohio we’ve had some snow and a lot more cold weather than usual. Winter skies are some of the prettiest!
Valerie Comer says
Brr!!!! That sounds cold for Florida!
Valerie Comer says
Yikes! That’s impressively cold!
Valerie Comer says
Sounds chilly!!!! And congrats.
Valerie Comer says
I agree on winter skies!
Trixi says
Oregon coast has been pretty nice this last week….a bit frosty in the morning but by afternoon, you have to switch to your lighter weight jacket. Plus the sun has been out each day. This next week we’re going back to our usual rain & about 45-ish degrees. January has been a mixed bag of weather, from snow/ice to flooding due to massive amounts of rainfall to sunny days. It makes me wonder what our spring will be, lol!
Congrats to the winners! Happy SONday everyone
Trudy says
Our coldest winter in 4 years!!
Valerie Comer says
Sunshine is wonderful!
Valerie Comer says
So not record-breaking then! Interesting.
Trixi says
Yes, we definitely don’t get enough here! Even in the middle of summer :-)
Trixi says
Oooops….my comment went under Trudy’s!

Trixi says
Ooops, sorry about the misplaced comment!
Debra Pruss says
Happy Sunday. Congratulations to the winners. We have had cold temperatures. It has not been as low temperatures as we have had in the past. They are calling for a big snow storm to hit us this week. Thank you for sharing your pictures. God bless you. Have a marvelous week.
Valerie Comer says
Thanks, and have a great week!
Valerie Comer says
No worries, these things happen!
Ausjenny says
me too. I have a cool house but once after a few days and when it gets muggy and doesn’t get below 20 overnight then it heats up and does take time to cool down. today we are going for 35 but a cool start so its not too bad inside but I am ready for a nap.
Valerie Comer says
I’m sure. 35 is too hot for me. We were over 35-42 in the daytime for weeks this summer. It was crazy for here in the mountains.
Amy Perrault says
Congrats Everyone!! I can’t wait for the new month of new books & contests
