Another favorite animal at Animal Kingdom is the giraffe. They have several groups of these majestic creatures.
The one pictured is merrily eating and blocking the road. Not pictured is his (her? I didn’t get close enough to ask.) friend coming across the road to join in on the feast.
My youngest son and I took as second safari ride in the evening, just before our dinner. It was dinner time for the animals. We got much better looks at many of them because they were out awaiting their meals. (Our first trip was around noon. Everyone was sleeping through the heat of the day!)

Congrats to all winners. When I was at Australia Zoo (in Narelle’s home town) I saw the giraffes. A couple had come from a zoo in my home state. I just happened to get chatting with a man who volunteers at the zoo and he gave info on the different animals. Like the fun fact that the snow leopard which had 2 different coloured eyes due to having a cataract. But he talked about the Giraffe’s and how they were also part of a breading program. I enjoy going to zoos in different places. (Australia Zoo has big cats which was why I had to go).
