Ever since Jim and I saw Mystere when we were in Las Vegas for a writing conference in 2019, we wanted to take our family to see a Cirque du Soleil show. In fact, we had tickets for a June, 2020, showing… and you can guess how THAT turned out! (Yay for refunds!) So when we found out Ovo was coming to Kelowna, BC, we consulted with our kids and bought tickets. It’s still a long drive from home, so we also rented an airbnb for a couple of nights, but hey, family time! Woot!
Then our son’s family came down with the big C three days before the show and had to bail out of the whole weekend. So much sadness ensued!!! But those of us who went (my mother-in-law, my daughter, son-in-law, three grandgirls, and hubby and me) had a great time. The five-year-old kept turning to Grandpa and telling him, “That’s just ridiculous!” And we all had to agree, LOL.

I vaguely remember seeing a stage presentation of The Hobbit when I was little. I had no idea what was going on, but was blown away by the spectacle.
Congratulations to the winners!

My boss treated us all to the Cirque with our spouses one weekend in Orlando years ago. It was amazing!
Lori Smanski says
No I have not seen a Cirque du Soleil show. Hope you have a fabulous Sunday. Here it is cloudy, windy and extremely humid. After church, I think I will spend my time inside. Maybe do some sewing.
Valerie Comer says
We’re hooked!
Valerie Comer says
Yes, sometimes following “the story line” can be tricky! Ovo seemed more solid in that regard than Mystere.
Valerie Comer says
I bet it was! Great work, Boss…

We’ve had a lot of that kind of weather here in SE BC. We’re “finally” seeing temperatures of mid-80s. I put the quotes around that because I’m not a huge fan of hot weather, but so far, I’m managing to survive. ;)
Sewing sounds lovely. What do you like to sew?
Trudy says
I got to see a show in Vegas!! The doctor I worked for took (almost) all of the employees (only a couple didn’t go, their choice!) to Vegas for the weekend, and included a show at the Wynn Hotel, where we were staying. It was so fun!!
