Happy Sunday! I’m dreaming about summer reading by the water. In my imaginary world there’s no sunburn, no bugs, and no glare from bright sunshine. The weather is around 24C (75F) with low humidity. I can feel the warm sun on my skin. I can forget it’s the middle of winter, and forget the temperature dropped to -7C overnight last week. Do you have summer (or winter) reading plans in the coming months? What’s your ideal reading place?

That reading set up sounds perfect! I shouldn’t complain about the weather but it’s 28 where I am in the UK which probably isn’t much for some people but we’re not set up for it or used to it, my children aren’t sleeping and everyone is grumpy and tired! So a nice seat in the shade of a not too hot day and a good book sounds perfect about now.
Alicia Haney says
Good morning, I love to read on our couch in the evenings or when it is cold. When it is a nice day and not too hot , I like to read on our back porch swing
Trudy says
Oh, man, I wish it was 75 here for the high!!! It’s been 75 a couple of days after the thunderstorms moved through, but it was soooo humid!! As a Native Floridian, I should be used to it, but I do NOT like the heat!!!! So, I stay inside in the A/C as much as possible!!! With heat index added in this week, it’s another week with feels like temps in the triple digits. And, thanks for the free books this week, ladies!!!!
Ausjenny says
Its been cold the past week but not down to -7. I would like it a bit warmer too. where I can wear sandals is perfect.
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Ruthie, 28 is warm for UK, and it’s good weather for the tennis at Wimbledon. A nice seat in the shade sounds good to me. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Alicia, I like the idea of reading on a back porch swing in warm weather. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Trudy, yes, it’s the weekend of free books here at Inspy Romance! Summer heat with humidity is horrible. I’m glad you have the A/C, especially if you’re heading to triple digit temps. Stay cool, and thanks for commenting. 😊
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Jenny, We’re having one of our coldest starts to winter in years. No snow, though. Sandal weather works for me, too. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Debra Pruss says
Please keep yourself safe. I read in our kitchen at the table. Thank you for sharing. God bless you.
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Debra, The kitchen table would work for me, too. Thanks for commenting. 😊
Marina Costa says
I like reading or writing in the park. I will move in a few months to another neighbourhood and there I will have a park for reading, but without writing conditions. I told my husband that I will take two folding chairs and my laptop behind our block, and I will write there when the weather permits. He laughs and does not believe me that I will, but behind the block is a quiet area, acceptably suited for writing.
Narelle Atkins says
Hi Marina, The park sounds idyllic. We can be creative when it comes to finding places to write. The Notes feature on my phone was my go-to writing tool when I was out and it wasn’t practical to have a laptop with me. Thanks for commenting. :)
