November gets a bad rap in the north, weather wise. It’s often dark and dreary, cold and foggy and rainy, but I have a few photos of November skies that remind us it’s not ALL doom and gloom, every time! Also, we had no snow in November… and not much in December, but boy howdy, January is trying to make up for it!

Dawn comes quite far south here in the winter. Here’s a November morning, which I only “get” to see because the old pup needs his constitutional first thing every day!

Hi Valerie! Michigan is facing a January revenge. 7 degrees (-15 C) this frigid Michigan morning. North wind is howling and snow is blowing. Most church services are cancelled. Tomorrow will be colder still. Because of the warm November and December Lake Michigan water temperature is 45 degrees and therefore SW Michigan is not as cold as the rest of the Midwest. Yesterday we had 16 – 20 feet waves, which was higher than our historic lighthouse. Stay warm and safe.
Love the pictures!!! Florida hasn’t been living up to being the Sunshine State lately, as we’ve had a lot of rain during this typically dry season. Not that I’m complaining! I’d much rather have a surplus of rain than go into drought conditions!! Plus, it gives me a great excuse to stay inside and read!!
Yes, we also have been having nasty cold the past few days here in SE BC. Brrr!!! YOU stay warm and safe, too!
I think we can use all kinds of excuses to stay inside and read! Here, I’m using the nasty cold as my reason! Happy Sunday…
Good morning, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos! I love taking pics of sunsets and sunrises and they sure can be beautiful. Have a great day and a great week.
Your photos are always beautiful, thank you for sharing.
God sometimes paints the sky so beautifully, doesn’t He?!?!
I’m glad you enjoyed them, Ruthie!
We haven’t had power since yesterday at 1pm trees are all over the power lines its really windy cold and snowy its in the low twenty high teens the high yesterday was 18 it feels way colder since we aren’t use to this cold of weather. Glad we have a wood fireplace and a battery opparated fireplace so we can stay warm. Hopefully we get power back soon.
Oh no! I hope your power comes back quickly (or maybe is already back!). When it’s windy, it can easily feel another ten degrees colder. I’m glad you’ve got heat even if no electricity!
Thank you so much for sharing. Please stay safe and warm. Congratulations to this weeks winners. God bless you all.
Thank you, Debra!
As usual you share wonderful photos, the coollness is blissful consider the hot and humid weather here in Sydney. Thanks. :)
I’m glad you enjoyed the photos, Dianne! And yes, our weather is “worlds apart” isn’t it!
