Welcome back to winter! It seems, here in SE British Columbia, we’ve had “all” of winter in January. We started with no snow, had a bunch, had an arctic cold snap, had more snow, and now it’s melting into miserable mud while the sun hides most of the day behind clouds or fog! I’m under no illusions that this is all the winter we’re going to get! I mean, it COULD happen, but it’s highly unlikely…
What’s it like out your way?

it feels like we are waiting for summer. we get a hot day then it goes humid or cool. I think the hottest day so far was 37ish. I checked 37.8 but its mostly been under 30. had about 3 hot nights it didn’t get below 21ish. But we have had humidity and rain where I am I am not use to humidity its normally a dry heat. that has eased the past week and this week should be high 20’s to very low 30’s. Normally by now we have had a few days over 40 and several days in high 30’s in a row. that hasn’t happened yet. I don’t mind a slightly cooler summer without the humidity.
Hopefully we will have some nice summer weather in February and dry heat. They said it would be a hotter than normal summer and little rain.

Our winter here in New York has been similar to yours. We had snow and cold in January. The snow has been washed away by rain. However, we’re supposed to get more snow later today. We’ll see. No matter the weather, there are always good books to read.

It’s been hot and humid here, raining one day and cloudy the next, with the sun occasionally peeking out from behind the clouds. Consistently hotter than we have had for the last few years and lots of people are really feeling it. Sure would love a cool change. Your gorgeous photo makes me feel cool just from admiring it. Thanks :)

The snow looks lovely in your photos.
We’ve had storms over the past week in the UK, but this week is looking pretty good, temperatures around 10 and sunny. It’s been a very wet winter so far but not too cold apart from the last couple of weeks (and even then I don’t think it would count as cold to anyone used to proper snowy winters!)

I’m a fan of mid-to-high 20sC! I love that temperature range, especially if it cools even more at night. In other words, I’m a fan of spring and fall LOL.

Yay for good books!!!! And yes. We had heavy rain overnight and the forecast looks like on-and-off rain for the rest of the week. We already have loads of mud, but I guess more is coming!

Oh, glad my snowy pix could be of service! 😂

Cold is cold if you’re not used to it! I have a friend in Alaska who only thinks it’s cold if it’s below -30C or so!

Florida is participating in Winter again this year!! Two years in a row, woohoo!!! We got up in the upper 70’s low 80’s this week, and starting tomorrow we’ll have high’s in the 60’s every day (one day is to hit 70) and our low’s will be in the 40’s all week, until next Saturday. As a Native Floridian, I LIVE for our bouts of cold weather!! We’ll hit 80+ temps a whole lot more than we’ll have cold temps in the year, so this is so nice!!! Less days to run the A/C and fans, and only rarely do I turn on the heat, and then it’s just long enough for me to dress, then it’s back to no heat! I love it when it’s 66 to 70 in the house without costing me a penny!!

That sounds lovely!!!

Hi, no snow here we did get a little rain last week but that was it. It gets cold for a couple of days and then it warms up some but then again I do live in West Texas the weather is a little unpredictable here. Have a great week. God Bless you and your family.
Valerie Comer says
Blessings to you as well, Alicia!!

Congratulations, Lilly. We have been socked in fog all week. It has been so thick that we could not see the end of the next block. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you. Stay safe.
Valerie Comer says
Lots of fog here, too, the past couple of days! Have a great week.
