Welcome to February!
I’ve always loved February. Maybe because it’s my birth month (though I am not one who celebrates all month long. I’m content to have a day — or even a single meal on that day — that’s all about me.)
But there’s just something fun about this month. Maybe it’s that weird little R in the middle of the word. Maybe it’s the fact that it has a leap day every four years (like this year!) Maybe it’s all the pink and red that, honestly, just don’t go together unless you’re talking Valentines.
And now that I’ve been blogging at InspyRomance for the last ten years? It’s also the month where we have our big birthday bash, and I have to say I love that, too. We’ll kick off on Valentine’s day, and it’s going to be fantastic!
Do you have any specific feelings about February?

Happy Birthday (for whatever day it is) I love Feb too as its my birthday month too. Its a special birthday this year and still trying to work out what I am going to do. (If I don’t organise something then nothing happens) I would love a trip to the beach or somewhere else. I will probably only go to lunch as I don’t drive. (I am happy for it to go a few days) its the end of the month.
Valentines day wasn’t a big thing here growing up infact it was only really in movies and tv shows. In the 80’s I had a few penfriends and thats where I got my first card. I found out they would give their friends cards like I would see in tv shows. I got my one and only from a guy late 80’s. It is a bit more celebrated by couples but nothing like in America.

Happy birthday! I love the pink and red of February, too.

It is a bit over the top here. I think. My mom always said, and I tend to agree, show me you love me everyday not just once a year. 🙂
Mines the 25th. Happy birthday to you as well this month.
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Thank you!

Happy birthday month!
My middle child was born in February, and I love all the signs of spring that start happening this month, snow drop and crocuses are starting to appear.
Valentines is getting bigger and bigger in the UK, but it’s still really a couples thing rather than Valentines for everyone. My husband and I don’t really celebrate it much.

Happy Birthday. Groundhogs Day is my birthday. I celebrated all week with friends and family. Me, husband and daughter all have birthdays this month. It’s also a month of remembrance. Two years this month since Dad went to be with Jesus. But we know we will all be together some day. Happy Birthday Elizabeth. 🎉🎉
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Happy birthday to your middle! My youngest also has a February birthday, so we start and end the month with cake. :)
Elizabeth Maddrey says
Aw, happy birthday to you and your family. And hugs on the loss of your Dad. It is good that we grieve with hope.

February is just another month now, to me. However, it also (hopefully!) means we won’t be in the 80’s much!! Depends on if FL decides to continue participating in winter, and so far, so good!! We’re getting another cold front through today that should keep our high’s in the upper 60’s to low 70’s, so I’ll take that as a win!!! Our humidity is down, too, which is another win!! Happy Birthday, Elizabeth!! Looking forward to the Birthday Bash, and looking forward to getting Tristan’s story this year!!

My son in laws Bday is on this month and I am so very fortunate to have a second son, he is God sent for sure! I really love February because it means it is getting closer to Spring when I will be able to plant in my garden. Every day is a gift from God so we must enjoy every day. We are almost birthday twins mines the 26th.
I remember being in Hawaii end of Jan around 12 years ago and saw all the stuff at wallmart and other shops. One good thing was they had valentine peeps. (We cant get peeps in Australia and I love them) I bought a small supply to bring home with me along with some good and plentys. Here we has small displays but Easter has way more stock on the shelves.
