February is THE big birthday month in our family. Both our son and son-in-law have February birthdays, as well as our daughter’s three girls! That makes five out of eleven birthdays in the shortest month! (October comes second with three birthdays. The rest of us get our own months LOL.)
One Saturday in mid-February, we took the ferry across the lake to meet up with everyone for an afternoon at the hot springs and then birthday dinner in a Greek restaurant. It is always fun to see everyone enjoying each other’s company, seeing the girls dare each other to go in the cold plunge pool (only one dunked), and keep catching the busy toddler whose motto appears to be ‘no fear!’
Do your family birthdays cluster in certain months or are they more spread out throughout the year?

Our family is mostly spread out over the year for birthdays. However, my brother and his oldest son have birthdays 1 day a part in July.
I always thought a summer birthday would be fun, but then realized during the school year it’s easier to get friends together for a birthday party. Often in summer families scatter for vacations and visiting family so getting all your friends together can be more challenging.
For my family July is the biggest month, my maternal grandma & grandpa, my mum, my aunt, my dad, my cousin were all born then. I’m definitely the “black sheep” being born in November :’)
Hi Valerie! Birthdays are spread out over the year – 2 in January (youngest son and youngest granddaughter), 2 in March (oldest and middle son), and 2 in August (daughter -in -law and oldest grandson), the rest of the family have their own month – May, July, October and December. With hubby and my siblings then November has the most birthdays – 3 (his youngest sister, my brother, and a brother -in – law), plus 2 in October (sister- in-law and brother-in-law), hubby’s other sister has a February birthday. When hubby and my parents were still alive we shared more birthday months. Fun post to read. Enjoy your Sunday and happy reading.
My family has a cluster of birthdays in April and July. We also seem to like the 6th day in the month. Both my boys, my grandson, and a nephew were born on the 6th, but all in different months. Makes it easy to remember!
The only month we don’t have any birthdays is January. There is 1 in Feb., 4 in March, 1 in April, 2 in May, 4 in June, 2 in July, 7 in August, 3 in Sept., 7 in Oct., 5 in Nov., and 3 in Dec.
Our big months are April and October.
October is when most birthdays are, maybe a cool change came through 9 months before in mid summer, lol. March is after that with 4 family members. Interestingly all my grandparents and my mother were born on the 24 which made it easy to remember their birthdays (except for my sister, I imagine she’ll try and change mum’s birthday forever). Sounds like wonderful birthday get togethers and hope there are many more for you Valerie.
In my hubby’s family, July is the big month. In my family we’re all spread out :-)
My other granddaughter has a July birthday, and what you say about summer birthdays is definitely true!
July is a popular month in my husband’s extended family! Three share the same date, actually. His dad, his niece, and a brother-in-law!
That sounds pretty even, all things considered! Happy Sunday to you, too.
Ah, when you start on days of the month, that’s a new, fun thing, right? I was born on a 22nd, same as both my parents. In my hubby’s family, the 23rd is more popular!
Busy family! Almost always a birthday to celebrate!
Nicely spaced out LOL!
LOL on your sister! Both my parents were born on a 22… in the year 1922. No forgetting their birthdays, either, especially since I was also born on a 22. Different year ;)
If I were taking the extended family into the equation, it is much more spread out for us, too. I’m just referring to my and my husband’s “down-line!”
My husband’s family is busiest in March for birthdays, my family is more spread out. My husband and I are a couple of days apart in August, so for those days we’re the same age.
Happy Sunday to you all. It’s mother’s day here in the UK, so lots of love to all the mom’s, and those missing their mom’s today.
Happy Mother’s Day, Ruthie!
There are so many of us in our family that there are several birthdays in every single month of the year. We used to have one party every month for every person that had a birthday that month. But the planning of the parties got to be so much that we stopped a few years ago.
Sounds crazy! Birthdays are special, but there IS a limit!
The birthdays in our family are petty much spread out. My 3 grandchildren bdays are 3 months in a row, which isnt bad . And our daughters and our our daughter in laws bdays are 1 month apart , so together with our grandchildren bday and our daughters and our daughter in laws bday there are 5 bdays in a row. We celebrate each bday individually. My bday and our youngest grandsons bday fall in the same month. Have a great day and a great week.
April seems to be ours. :) It feels like there’s a birthday every couple or handful of days, lol.
Gorgeous pics! Time with family is so precious. :)
In my immediate family, we had one birthday in May, June, September, October, November, December. Then, when my sisters married, we added February, April, and another December. When the kids starting coming along, we added January, July, and more to September, October, November, and December. We may be adding another to June this year, unless the baby comes really early or really late!
My daughter & I & my aunt(mom’s sister) are all in April. However the biggest month is August with my mom, brother, mom’ s brother & cousin, & two cousins & an uncle on my dad’s side. The rest is spread out.
That sounds lovely! Thanks, Alicia.
Family time is amazing!!! Thanks, Priscila!
Nice and steady there! Thanks, Trudy.
Sounds like a busy August. :)
October is a big month for my family. My birthday and my twin sister’s birthday is October 8th. My daughter’s birthday is October 10th.
That’s a busy couple of days!
August is our big month with 9 family birthdays plus a few more of close friends followed by October with 8 family birthdays. That includes extended family–nieces, nephews, siblings, etc.
Sounds busy, Bonnie!
nice pic
My 6 siblings and I all have different birth months. Growing up, we always thought it was nice to have our own month. 😊
Thanks!
I shared a birth month (and week) with my older sister!
May is the busy month in my family, including mine and my dad’s on the same day.
Let’s hear it for May birthdays!!! That’s mine, too.
Thank you so much. My husband and I share a birthday in February. God bless you.
Our family’s birthdays are kind of spread out, but we do have a few clustered together in the fall.
That’s fun! Neither of you can say you forgot!
Spread out gives everyone the chance to be the star!
Growing up, my parents and three siblings had birthdays between September 30 and November 28. I was the odd one out with a birthday in June. Now I call November through March ” birthday season “, since my husband’s birthday is in November, then our four children’s birthdays are one/month from December through March. When my second son got married, we added another December birthday. I am still off by myself in June… but not for much longer! My oldest son is getting married in April, and his bride-to-be has a birthday in May. :) As far as days of the month, the six ” originals” have birthdays on the 19th, 20th, 21st, 23rd, 24th, and 25th (Christmas!). My dil’s is on the 8th, but my dil-to-be will add the 26th to the sequence.
Oh, wow, isn’t that interesting!!!
Congratulations to the winners! My sister and I do share a birthday month but the other members of my family have their own birthday months
I have four sisters and share a birthday month with one of them. :)
My family does have some birthday clusters. My daughters birthday is in March as is my sister, my father in law, and my sister in law, Then in July we have my husbands birthday , my birthday and in between those two our anniversary.
My son’s birthday is in February and our anniversary :)
Two reasons to celebrate!
Isn’t it interesting how clusters work!
Birthdays February 21 22 25 and 26 and March 1st and 31st
Wow, those are close together!
