Hey all! I hope you’ve had a great week! Nothing too exciting here – though I did finish the first draft of my next novella (still untitled, but book 2.5 in the Brides of Bellas Montagnes series – book 1 releases in August and this novella will be free for newsletter subscribers!). It was also VBS week – which is my FAVORITE week of the summer!!! I get to spend time with grown-ups! Tuesday, I worked at Panera, finished up the SPLASH! party and then wrote the end of the first draft of that novella. Wednesday, I got to go on a date night with my hubby!!! Thursday, I went out for dinner/random shopping with two friends (one of whom is one of my best friends and the other is HER best friend who I’ve known slightly for a long time but we bonded over books a couple years ago and now she’s one of my first readers! In fact, she’s the only one who’s read that novella and what I have of Hand-Me-Down Princess). Friday, another friend and I went to a town about twenty miles away to pick up the Craigslist Wii U we bought (not part of our original plan ;)), dinner at Olive Garden, then to her house to watch Netflix because our movie was sold out :p. Today, VBS is over, but we cleaned A LOT, then we took the kids to Jurassic World followed by surprising them with the new Wii U! We had fun playing it – and now my three younger kids are spending the night at my sister’s. You’d think that would mean me and the 13yo would have lots of mother-daughter bonding time, but…instead, I’m headed to bed early as soon as I finish this ;). I also got Finding Mr. Write and Finally Mr. Write up on all non-Amazon platforms! YAY! Finding is free on all platforms but Amazon (but it should be there soon). YAY!

Hi Carol!
Here it is Thursday the 2nd f July & I am desperately trying to catch up to myself and these blogs…lol!! Nothing spectacular happened, just the general busyness of life. You know, where your only plan for that day is to do nothing but catch up on emails, blogs and Facebook posts….but somehow something happens and then before you know it, your day is done! And it seems as if you are trying to get on top of that hill but not being very successful. I’m sure you’ve never had that happen to you before..haha!
VBS….boy do I miss those days when my kids were little and used to attend! Now I’m looking forward to my little granddaughter being old enough for me to take her! She’s only 16 months old, but before I know it, she’ll be school age….oh boy do these times fly! I’m just enjoying her while she is this small, because I KNOW these young years go by way to fast!
Hoping you are enjoying your Wii and some bonding time with the kids over it. We don’t have any game systems here, guess hubby & I are just not that into it! And your writing sounds like it’s going pretty good :-)
Congrats to last weeks winners! And as always, looking forward to this week’s posts. Blessings to you and yours, Carol!!
