Happy December to our Inspy Romance friends! The administration team of Inspy Romance is heading into new territory in the realm of Sunday Editions. We’ve overworked Carol for the past two years, but from now on, we’ll each be hosting for a month of Sundays. I’m your host for December!
I’m thrilled to share an assortment of vintage postcards with you over the next few weeks. My sisters and I discovered all of them in boxes after our parents passed away. I believe they are from the 1930s and 40s.

A vintage Christmas postcard from my parents’ collection.

Love the vintage postcards! Thanks for ALL you do behind the scenes and on the blog for Inspy Romance and its authors, Valerie. We are indeed blessed! :)
Aw, thank you, JoAnn! I really love this group – both sides of it!
Valerie, thank you for sharing those vintage postcards. What wonderful memories! Have a glorious, blessed week! Merry Christmas! :-)
My parents’ collection contained mostly valentines, which I thought interesting for Mennonite children born in the early 1920s! But I have a few more Christmas and New Year postcards to share over the remainder of December. I hope you have a wonderful week, too!
Hi Valerie! Glad to see Inspy Romance is mixing things up a bit. Plus I’ve seen on Facebook that Carol has been under the weather? Been keeping her in my prayers that God would lay His healing hands on her.
Congrats to this weeks winners! I’m also enjoying your parents vintage Christmas cards, they sure don’t make them like they used to. These are wonderful :-) I remember my Grandma sharing letters that my Grandpa & her exchanged when he was in WW2 over in Germany. He included some pictures to, bombed out barracks and various places like that. Always neat to see things from our past.
Looking forward to another great week on the blog. Can’t believe Christmas is almost here, goes faster every year it seems! I’m so not ready.
Yes, Carol hasn’t been feeling well, so I’m sure she is doubly thankful we’d already agreed to spread the Sunday posts among the admin team. Thank you for your prayers for her.
Cards have changed a lot! While I remember folded greeting cards from my own childhood, almost everything my parents had stashed away were postcards from further back. Some fascinating ones, for sure. I have a few more to share! :)
Valerie I always read your posts! Thanks for sharing your lovely postcards!
I am such a vintage lover, although I am currently obsessed with mid-20th century vintage. What a sweet and sentimental find for you and your sister.
Thank you, Linda!!
I hope you enjoy the rest of the postcards I’ll be sharing, too! Thanks for coming by.
