Hi everyone! Can I tell you how much I love that so many of our December posts here on Inspy Romance are all about relaxing and remembering that Jesus wants our hearts, not our busyness? And that our families would probably appreciate our presence more than our presents?
This week my husband, son, daughter-in-law, and 3-y-o granddaughter trekked off in the woods to cut Christmas trees. Some years we’ve needed snowshoes, but not this year. Instead, we took advantage of a brief gap in the rain for our adventure! Time together is more valuable than the tree and trimmings.

Our family has wonderful memories of going to the tree farms to cut down our live Christmas tree. We went to the same tree farm for years. There were years of snow, ice, pouring rain and then, heat. But, each Christmas, we were able to take the hayride out to the trees and pick our tree. Now, we have an artificial tree. This year, our son and daughter-in-love decorated the tree for us. Times will change, but, we will always have those wonderful tree memories. God gives us such wonderful blessings. Merry Christmas!

Valerie Comer says
She’s the only one who lives right here, but the other two (almost four and almost six) will be here for Christmas, too. What a privilege to see the wonder through a child’s eyes!
Valerie Comer says
Thanks! It is definitely a gift.

Yes, times change, but faith and love and family endure. Blessings!
