I’m so excited to be back to handle Sunday Editions in June. The plants in the photo above are, I’m pretty sure, Hens and Chicks, and they remind me of my mother. We had those in our garden, along with Hollyhocks, growing up. I think my mom suffers from the same lack of gardening ability I have, so she grew seriously hardy plants that needed very little care.
June always makes me wish I could grow things more successfully. Everywhere around me, flowers are blooming and gardens are flourishing and I wish that I had something pretty in my yard, but we stick to bushes. I can’t kill bushes, apparently. Oh well. I hope you are surrounded by beautiful blooms of some sort.
Don’t forget that we have our second Blab coming up on Tuesday this week! If you’ve not subscribed yet, you can do that by clicking here. I’ll share the replay in next Sunday’s post if you can’t join us live.

Another new week- we have three more weeks of school until term break and winter is really setting in, but today we had patches of sun and blue sky. Made our trip to the monthly town market much more pleasant than if it was raining:) We used to have lots of Kangaroo Paw in our garden- beautiful flowers and hardy! Have a great week:)
Elizabeth Maddrey says
I had to go look up Kangaroo Paw. It’s gorgeous! I suspect it only grows in Australia?
Sounds like you had a lovely day! Thanks for swinging by, Wemble!
I believe so. We visited Perth last year, the beautiful Park in the middle of the city has mass plantings of Kangaroo Paw, it looks great.
