It seems like February has flown by. I’ve enjoyed my time here on Sunday’s in addition to my regular post. I love getting to know you through your comments, and I look forward to meeting with you again in a few months.
Some things going on in my world this last week:
- The company my husband works for recently moved to a new building with all new furniture and accessories. They opened the old buildings for employees to “raid” as the new owners will be demolishing them shortly. We snagged a number of white boards, cork boards, desk chairs, and a variety of other items, including mirrors. Weird, right?
- One of my son’s and a friend put in a fire pit in my backyard. It looks awesome.
Unfortunately, because it’s so muddy, his friend got his truck stuck. It took us more than fifteen minutes to get him out of the mud. :(
- Another son got engaged. I’m happy for him. He really seems to love this girl, though, sadly, I don’t know her very well.
- I made an appointment for my baby to go to the vet. He’s a mini Aussie and has one blue eye and one half-brown, half-blue eye. The blue eye has started to cloud. I’m hoping it’s nothing too serious. His name is Zorro, and he follows me everywhere. Even now he’s laying at my feet, sleeping.
We’re about halfway through our birthday giveaway, so keep the comments coming. We can’t wait to giveaway all these books. :D To learn more about what you can win, check out this Sunday Edition. For the rules, go to our giveaways page.
I pray the remainder of your February is full of love and many blessings,
Ginger

Zorro sure looks like a curious little fella. I hope his eye is okay, Ginger. Congratulations to your son! Have a wonderful Sunday.
White boards, cork boards and desk chairs, oh, my! If I’d been there I would have grabbed the same things. I hope you enjoy wonderful times together as you get to know your future daughter. Congratulations!
Congratulations on your son’s engagement. I know the feeling of not knowing the fiancee or daughter-in-law well. My one son has been married 15 years and the other 5 years. It takes time and patience. The main thing is your son is happy. Sorry about your dog. It is difficult to watch your pet age. About 2 years ago our 14 year old Sheltie lost her hearing. We were concerned. I did a little research and found this fact: dogs can be blind, deaf or both; as long as they have their sense of smell they can continue to function. Best wishes to you, your family and your 4 legged friend.
Sounds like a busy time in your life. Hope Zorro is okay. I truly look forward to reading this blog each day and learning about new authors and their stories. Thank you to everyone here. :-)
What a busy week in Solomon Land! Congratulations to your son!
Zorro is so cute! Hope he is ok. Congrats to your son! Hopefully you can spend more time with your daughter in law to be and get to know her better!
Ginger,
Your dog is so cute!
Thanks for sharing some of the things that have filled your month.
Mine has just been busy with work and reading and family.
Yet, daily God has been teaching me new things and reminding me of things He promises.
It’s been good!
Your dog is adorable I hope his eye will be ok.
Congratulations on your son’s engagement. Zorro is a cutie. Sounds to me like he might have a cataract in his eye. Don’t know the protocol for dogs but my hubby has had cataract surgery in both eyes and can see better than ever now.
Prayers next week is wonderful for you, and that Zorro is fine, Ginger <3 He's adorable!
Congrats to your son (and mom and dad!) I’ll be praying for Zorro. Pets are like family in my world, so I know the worry. :)
Congrats on your son’s engagement. Sounds like you made out like a bandit raiding all the goodies from your husband’s old building. Praying for your dear pet.
Thanks, Jill.
Thanks, Jenny. Your comment made me smile.
Thank you, Renate, for the encouragement.
Could I ask… how is your name pronounced? I’ve been saying Re-nah’-tay to myself, but since you’re such an awesome supporter, I’d love to know how I should say it. :)
We’re so glad you enjoy it, Melissa. I think everyone has those times that become busier than others. I have learned to relish the boring because I know it rarely lasts long. Writing just adds a new dimension to the rush–writing, edits, deadlines, etc.
It seems 2016 has been nothing but busy in Solomon Land. Thanks, Val.
Thanks, Beth. I hope so, too.
God is so good to keep reminding us of those promises we tend to forget. He reminded me of several just this morning in our worship service. He’s so AWESOME!
Thank you, Linda. Me, too.
Thanks, Nancy. Yes, I fear it is cataract as well. Sadly, the procedure for dogs is pricey. :(
Thanks, Autumn. I’ll take all the prayers I can get. :D
Thanks, Elizabeth. I love my baby, even if he is annoying at times.
Thanks. The building was so FULL of stuff, we only touched the surface. We only had two and a half hours to scour one very large building and two smaller ones. Many people brought UHauls to carry out desks and bookcases and who knows what all.
Ginger, I was born in Berlin, German. Renate, is the German form of Renee. In Italian it is written Renata. My name means “Born again.” You are correct in the pronunciation. I am a want-a-be author, that is why I enjoy this website and blog. Being retir d Ihave time to interact with authors and I know reviews are very important to sell books. Have a great week.
I love your post.
It’s so much fun repurposing items.
Can’t wait for the giveaway.
This is my first time on this site, so far I am liking it. I am finding some very interesting Authors and books to look into reading. I really love the idea of this site! I have signed up for the blog to be sent to me via email. I have no idea how a blog works so this will be a fun adventure for me. Thank you all for including me!
Wow, this week got past me! Being on deadline does that to me every time, as I’m sure all of you can understand. I still have another week of copyediting in front of me, so I won’t be able to comment much (if at all) during the next few days either.
Blessings to all,
Andrea

Poor Zorro! I hope you have good news at the vet, something that can be treatable :-)
And go you…..I’ve never known your life NOT to be busy! Congrats on your sons recent engagement and the new fire pit….I’ve always wanted one of those :-)
Here’s to a fun week!
I hope your little Zorro is okay!
