Happy Resurrection Day!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Holy Weekend! I love Easter and everything about it but this year has been… off?? Something. Maybe because my mother/step-father-in-law come over every year but aren’t this year and so it wasn’t until this afternoon I realized we had no Easter dinner plan (we decided on cold cuts because it’s easy – that’s what we do on Christmas too).
Tomorrow (er, today, by the time you read this), though, we’ll be at church celebrating with friends and family (and I’ll get to rock some sweet babies)!
Did you know that every time you comment, you’re entered into our monthly drawing for a $30 Amazon card?! It’s true! And March’s winner is:

Trixi O. says
It’s the same around here Christmas time….my sister-in-law & her daughter (my niece) always came down to spend a week with us to celebrate all the festivities. The last few years, however, they haven’t been able to due to work schedules, weather and what-not. It just isn’t the same as spending time with family during the holiday season!
Easter at our house is really a non-holiday in the sense of a big special dinner or a get-together with family/friends. It’s a time of church fellowship (this year a brunch shared with church family) & a special Easter service. Or as we call it, Resurrection Sunday :-) Growing up, my parents didn’t celebrate Easter with the egg hunts, the Easter bunny & the like. When I married & had kids, we never did that either. We taught the true meaning of Easter & all that Jesus did for us. We just really enjoy the fellowship with our church that day, after all they are our real family!
Congrats to Andrea on the gift card! Looking forward to this weeks blog posts, as always!
