Last week was my hubby’s b-day. I won’t tell which one. ;) And in celebrating, along with preparing space for an above ground pool and a writer’s meeting, I bumbled the Sunday Edition. Thanks to Elizabeth for covering for me. I had the post prepared, but forgot to finish and schedule it.
But I’m on the ball this week. Maybe.
We got the above mentioned pool set up. Then our well water reacted to the chlorine and turned the whole thing brown. UGLY! A little googling and some socks took care of that, so it’s crystal clear once again. I have yet to get in. I like the AC too much. :) And I’m not sure my swimsuit fits.
Since today is Father’s Day, I would be remiss if I didn’t remind you. ;o Don’t forget to pour gratitude on your father today if he’s still in your life. Even if he wasn’t the best, he brought you in to the world, and that in and of itself is enough reason to be thankful.
Many blessings,
Ginger

Hi Ginger, you sound like you’ve had a busy week- glad the pool has settled down!! We celebrate Father’s Day in September here, it is always interesting to read the differences between our countries:) We have two more weeks of term until a two week break, we are all looking forward to that!
Blessings:)

Thanks for a cute post. Hope you get to enjoy your pool and the swimsuit still fits! Or better yet use it as an excuse to shop!

Cute post….lol

You’ve been very busy, but so happy to read you got the ugly water taken care of.

Is that a fall break, Wemble? Or do you have school year-round? Most children here in the US are out of school now until late August or early September. Where we live, kids have been out for a month already, but we start again in early August.

An excuse to shop… yeah, nope! I hate to shop. I know; I’m a crazy woman. I hate shopping for swimsuits even more.
Gingers219 says
Oh, and I did get in the pool last evening with my sons. The swimsuit did fit – enough anyway.

Thanks

Life tends to be that way around my house. It’s okay though, ‘cuz I love it as long as I get breaks in between.

We have 4 school terms, with a 2 week break between. Our big break is over Christmas, our summer break where we have 6 weeks.

LOL…now I’d like to know what socks have to do with a clean swimming pool….there’s gotta be a story there ;-)
Happy SONday everyone! Happy belated birthday to your husband Ginger (I won’t ask which one either, lol), hope you spoiled him rotten! Looking forward to another great week on Inspy Romance.

Well, Trixi… Our well water is full of iron, which reacts to chlorine. We put the sock(s) over the out flow of the filter to “catch” the iron before it re-enters the pool. I have a bunch of brown socks to show that it works. I spoil him rotten most days, so he didn’t get much on his birthday. I did have the kids over last Sunday for a combo Father’s Day/Birthday dinner since several of them wouldn’t be able to make it for Father’s Day. We had fun.

So it is year round with several breaks between. I tried that one year (since I homeschool), but “I” need the long summer break (which is now) to recenter myself and have a rest. :) I suppose if I’d have grown up that way, it would be as big a deal, but alas, too late now. LOL
