I miss my mom. She died 15 years ago today. There I said it, and now I’m moving on…
My week in a nutshell:
Monday, my husband and three of my children went with our church on a youth retreat to Destin, Florida. “Oooh, the beach,” you might be thinking. Yeah, well, they weren’t particularly having fun down there — at least not on the beach. If it wasn’t raining (thanks to TS Cindy), then the lifeguards had up a double red flag, which means you can’t even touch the water (also thanks to Cindy). The two children who still live at home and I went to see Wonder Woman. It had a slow start, but was a good movie.
Tuesday was my second youngest son’s 15th
birthday. It made me sad that I didn’t get to see him, but I sent him several Happy Birthday messages, and we had celebrated before he left. I had purposed to write 5k words, but I doubt I managed more thank 1k. Concentration is not high on my abilities list these days.
Wednesday, TS Cindy was soon to have an effect on our weather, so I battened down the hatches and got my grass cut (approximately 3 acres of “yard”). My husband had cut the pasture the week before, so that didn’t need to be done.
Thursday, it rained some, but I had a headache off and on all day, ending with an AWFUL migraine.
Friday, we had lots of rain and wind, but little else. Hardly even any thunder or lightning. :( I do enjoy a good storm. Hubby and kids (and everyone else) were headed home (in the storm). They actually stopped at a sister church for an hour or so to wait out the worst of the weather (some tornadic activity with the system).
Saturday, rest. I’m (present tense because I’m writing this on Saturday) still struggling with a headache. There’s also some nausea, but I’m not sure if that is because of the headache or not.
How has your week been?
Many blessings,
Ginger

Hi Ginger! Hope you feel better soon. School is out for the summer. As a retired grandma, who watches grandkids last week I had no childcare duties. Haven’t had a week off in a while. Husband and I did some day trips.Had time to relax and read. Happy summer!

Woke up with another one this morning. I don’t usually have so many at once. It’s crazy.
Future commenters (if you read this), please forgive me if I don’t respond to your comments promptly. My bed (and a dark room) are calling my name. :(

So sorry to read about the headaches! Do you think the stormy weather has an effect? My week was busy, but enjoyable. Thankfully we had much cooler weather on the coast than the rest of California!

Praying for you, Ginger.

So sorry for the headaches. I’ve never really had one that bad. Hubby substitute preached at a church today that doesn’t have a pastor . It was an hour away so we just got home. Sweet people but only about a dozen there. He has agreed to do that once a month. We were surprised to see a couple that travel through the summer that were at our home church last week! Hope your family is all back together now and safe! Blessings!

The weather definitely affects it, but it’s clear out today, so I’m not sure what the deal is.
