If you’re anything like me, you may have a little problem with your TBR (to-be-read) list. Or maybe it’s more like a pile, or a stack, or a mountain, or, let’s be honest, a planet with its own gravitational pull. Some books may have been newly placed on the list, but then there are those books that are collecting dust and have been on your TBR (insert noun here) for years *cough, cough*. Well, I invite you to join me in tackling your TBR in 2023! Nothing too extravagant, but if we read one book a month that’s been on our TBR, we can make a nice little dent.
Here are the 12 books from my TBR that I’m tackling this year.
- Postcards by Elizabeth Maddrey
- The One Who Got Away by Tara Grace Ericson
- Retying the Knot by Liwen Y. Ho
- To Believe in You by Emily Conrad
- Sweetened With Honey by Valerie Comer
- Chasing Valentino by Julie Carbonini
- Love and the Dream Come True by Tammy L. Gray
- Sweet Right Here by Jenny B. Jones
- Bookshop by the Sea by Denise Hunter
- Organized Backup by Meredith Resce
- Beyond the Tides by Liz Johnson
- Like a Winter Snow by Lindsay Harrel
Those are mine. What books from your TBR list are you tackling this year?
Hmm what’s larger than a mountain range, lol!
Finding a book in the tbr lot is rather akin to what is it about a camel and the eye of a needle? Mixed metaphors maybe but one a month sounds like a great plan. Thanks for the inspiration!!
My book is there in some great company. I hope you enjoy it (and a the others – it looks like a great year of books.)
One a month does sound doable, I will have to make a list!
My downfall is I follow lots of recommendations from newsletters etc and/or links to free books – but then if it’s a series or a new author I get distracted into reading the rest of the series or more of the author’s back catalogue and don’t keep looking at my TBR list.
I think trying to get back on track enough to read one each month from the TBR list is a good idea.
I’m tackling my TBR read stack by reading the paperbacks in it! I can read a paperback when riding my bike, whereas the books I proof are all on my desktop computer! So, I read a paperback while I’m also working! Sometimes, I just have to get up and get away from the computer! When I have an ARC, I can take the Kindle with me, so I read the ARC but also have a paperback for backup, as I can’t make notes about the error(s) I might find while riding the bike! There are some really creative ways to make dents in the TBR stack!!
My to read pile is too big to list.mine are mostly love inspired and harlequin heartwarming books
I have a TBR planet! But I like your idea of making a list. I will work on that.
Thank you!
Yes I think some of ours are tbr planets!
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
I love binging author backlists too!
Love your plan
Laura Frantz’s backlist is my 2023 project
You’re in for a treat!
too many to list
I have between a planet and a mountain TBR. I was able to read one off my TBR list already this year. Right now, I am working on a book club book as well as two ARCs that have been received. Another ARC will be here soon. I have another book club book coming the week of the 23rd, I think. I am hoping to be able to pick another book next month when I get through all the ARC’s. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you.
I know i am going to read Jan Drexler’s latest cozy mystery. After that not sure. If its got a cat on the cover it may have a chance. My kindle is full of books that need to be read.
My tbr pile and list on Goodreads are out of control. Who knows what I’ll read next! It depends on my mood!
Thanks for including To Believe in You! I hope you enjoy it! I’m a mood reader, which means things can stack up for quite a while on my TBR … Not Since You by Dulcie Dameron is one I plan to read soon.
You’re already on the plus side for the year!
I love cats!
I’m totally a mood reader too
I’m totally a mood reader as well
Hey, I recognize one of those books ❤️. I hope you enjoy it. I’m the same … I’ve been doing too much reading for work and not enough for pleasure. So I charged up my Kindle and making it a point to curl up and read every day this year.
