Hi friends!
I may have mentioned my love for the beach once or twice… or a thousand times. If I didn’t, I LOVE THE BEACH, by the way! Last October, I was blessed to get to visit the beautiful Florida town of Santa Rosa. My lady friends and I stayed in the lovely area called Seaside. Such a paradise!
The sunsets and the migrating butterflies had me literally applauding the Lord! I loved to take long walks in the sand. I waded in the cool clear water and looked at the sand dollars. The water is often like glass, reminding me of descriptions of a sea of glass in heaven!
I may not go out deep into the water (fear of sharks, ha!), but the beauty draws me deep with my Lord.
And that’s where I’ve taken my characters for Christmas in the novella Falling for Grace. Here’s a little about the story:
Falling for Grace
Grace Logan has taken a lot of tumbles in life, but she works hard to bounce right back. Dreams shattered and hope for reconciliation gone, Grace needs a place where she can pick herself up now that her ex is marrying her former best friend. Her boss’s beach house in Santa Rosa seems like the perfect getaway, but stumbling into the attractive-but-damaged handyman next door isn’t part of the plan.
After losing his infant son—and his marriage—Seth Gibbs is left with smothering grief and guilt. Bad memories make it difficult to find a new normal, so he escapes to his family’s vacation home. Three years later, he’s still in Santa Rosa with no plans to leave.
That is…until Grace falls into his life
I hope you enjoy Grace and Seth’s full story! It’s available in this sweet Christmas collection with seven other of your favorite Inspy Romance authors!
All eight novellas are only 99 cents to pre-order for a limited time on Amazon! So pull out your mittens or your beach towel and snuggle up with your Kindle and some sweet stories!
Happy Reading!

Hi Janet! I also love the beach and am blessed to live a mile from Lake Michigan, so I can enjoy the beauty of the lake with its magnificent sunsets year around – even though at times from the comfort of my car or even from home. Presently with the cool crisp fall air we SW Michiganders marvel at God’s creation, because in Michigan at sunset we can see the skyscrapers of Chicago (Illinois) 50 miles across the lake. A marvelous phenomena that only occurs during certain times of the year. For couch potatoes, who do not enjoy the cold, we are blessed with a talented photographer Joshua Nowicki, who ventures out in all kinds of weather and takes daily photos of our beautiful lake and lighthouse, which he posts on FaceBook and his website. Next weekend hubby and I will be driving the length of Lake Michigan (350 miles) to see the fall foliage and vacation in Traverse City and hike / drive through state parks along the way. Janet, thanks for sharing your pictures. The sunset one definitely reminds me of our local beach, where this week the snow fences were put up. Unfortunately Lake Michigan is not as clear and our community is constantly on the defensive for neighboring states not pollute the water. Boxed set is preordered and looking forward to some holiday inspiration. Best wishes and enjoy your weekend.
Note: For readers, who want to see a Michigan sunset, google Joshua Nowicki (photographer) and you can see this weeks photos.

I do love the beach too. Basically any season, though summer, of course, is just the best!!! I’m a water buff–and I’ve learned soon enough that I’ve passed that on to my 1yo, whose first word was water (yes, not mom) and he still can’t get enough of it.
I’ve already pre-ordered and looking forward to it.

After reading this I want to drive to the coast–that’s what we call it in Oregon. :) I love the water too.

How awesome, Wemble, that you get to spend Christmas at the beach! I hope you like their story.
Blessings,

Hi Renate! I went to Chicago last summer and waded in the lake! So pretty! I’d love to see it from your side someday! I bet fall is beautiful there. We don’t have as pretty a fall in Mississippi as you do. Thank you for ordering the set! I hope you enjoy. I’m going to look up that photographer now!
Blessings,

I share your love for the ocean – just got back from a trip to the BC coast and over a week on the Pacific. Now I am busy reminding myself how beautiful it is right where I live, too!
Janet Ferguson says
Hi Valerie, I’ve loved your pictures! I need to visit that coastline, but yes, there is beauty all around when we look for it.

As a Native Floridian, I only live 2 hours either way from the East and West Coast of Florida.
People who don’t live in Florida think we are at the beach all the time, don’t I wish.
The high for the other day was 95 and it feels like beach weather even for September almost October.
Janet Ferguson says
I hear you, Janet! I’m at Fort Morgan beach today and it’s upper 80s! So beautiful!

I LOVE BEACH too! My favorite getaway is Carmel by the Sea. Thank you for sharing! Blessings!

Carmel by the Sea sounds intriguing! I need to look that up!

I love the beach too, Janet. I’m obsessed with seashells and want to pick them all up. A writer friend said I should give away seashells at book signings since my office is beachy and I have shells everywhere. I told her I can give away just about anything–except my seashells.
Janet Ferguson says
Shannon, That is an interesting idea. I have so many, it might be possible for me, ha!

Looking forward to reading it.
