The Joy of Giving

IMG_2812Christmas is just a few days away. A wonderful season that celebrates the ultimate gift of love, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

To celebrate his birth, we give presents to those we love. We spend time with them and enjoy their company (most of the time).

I love giving gifts all year long. The joy on the recipient’s face blesses me. Not surprisingly, my love language is gifts. :) I think people who love giving the most are blessed the most. Jesus did say, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35, NLT)

We at InspyRomance love to give gifts, too. Every month we draw a name from those who comment, and one special reader gets an Amazon gift card.

We also had our biannual giveaway just a few months ago. We were blessed to give away over $300 worth of items to several winners.

February is our second anniversary. And we’re going to do even more giveaways. In the past, we’ve given away gift cards, chocolate, tea, coffee, mugs, bags, bookmarks, and even a soft throw (blanket), as well as loads of books from our wonderful, talented authors.IRwewantyouropinion

  9. My favorite thing to win is autographed books, not e-books! Most giveaways only give e-books! Really, I would be happy just to win “something”! Thanks for asking the question and happy holidays!!

  10. An Amazon gift card would be nice to buy more e-books for my Kindle. Most of the time I have already bought and downloaded a book that is being offered as a gift. Merry Christmas Ginger to you and your family.

  11. Autographed books are great (and if they could be personalized that would be really awesome). Tea and gift cards are good too. Honestly, everything in your already given away list are perfect to go with books. I would be thrilled to win any of those things, including the coffee which I would give away. =)

  17. Gift cards and e-books, since I’m international it’s difficult to get coffee, blankets, bags or any of the things you mentioned above.

  24. Thanks for commenting, Katy. We don’t personalize books because they’re sent to me in advance, and when we pick a winner, I send out the set in one box so the winner gets them all at once.

  27. I think books and Amazon gift cards are a given…lol! I don’t really have many more suggestions for you, maybe a Starbucks gift card so the recipient can get whatever they want there if not coffee. They have some great treats :-) I’m not a Starbucks coffee drinker, but I do love to buy the coffee beans to grind and enjoy at home. What about a themed prize? Say flavored hot chocolate, box of some sort of sweet, a cute mug, mixed nuts, bookmarks and a gift card. Or maybe spa type stuff….body lotion, body wash, a scrubby poof, lip balm and the like (Burt’s Bee has some great stuff). I looked over on Amazon at the gift baskets for inspiration :-) I don’t know if this helps you, I’m not a huge idea person….lol!

  28. Books, books, books and more books….that’s why we’re all here!! We LOVE books!!! Food would’ve good too…because that rates right up there with books in my opinion. ?
