Hello Inspy Romance friends! I’m excited today about the release of this 3-in-1 eBook collection with my favorite stories I’ve written. So far :) Each is set for the most part in St. Simons, Georgia!
Around 2016, my daughter had moved to Atlanta, so we decided to have our vacation that year closer to her part of the world. I booked a condo which didn’t turn out to be quite as nice as I’d hoped, LOL, but we still had fun as we toured the area. Plus, it was by the beach!
The beautiful coastal landscape dripped with Spanish moss and interesting history, and though I hadn’t planned it, three novels were inspired from this vacation. Here are a few of the sights: the beach, the lighthouse, shells, flowers, Christ Church, the bridge that took us to Jekyll Island.

Because I find that I’m often straddling that razor’s edge between joy and sorrow in this life, while still grasping tight to the peace of God, I tried to incorporate those emotions into these novels. I think the beauty and ambiance of the Georgia coast can be found in the stories along with realistic experiences the characters endure on their journey.
The three full-length novels (with over 900 reviews on Amazon!) included are:
Faith, Hope, Love Reader’s Choice Award Winner and Selah Award Finalist The Art of Rivers
Faith, Hope, Love Reader’s Choice Award Finalist Star Rising
2021 New Release For the Love of Joy

My questions for you today: Do you binge read series? Do you purchase multi-novel eBooks?
Mary Preston says
I do love to binge read series, but I don’t purchase multi-novel eBooks.
Janet Ferguson says
Series are fun!
Lincoln says
Hi, Janet! I do often buy multi-novel ebooks, usually to pick up parts of a series at a discount. On more than one occasion, I have wound up with book 1 in a series as a stand-alone and then have the whole series (or initial part thereof) in a multi-book set. It makes things a little cluttered but worth it, to me.
I pretty much binge read everything so series are included. :-P
Margaret Bunce says
I already have the 3 books in my e-reader. Sometimes if I don’t have all the stories in a series, I will get the boxset. So convenient, too!!
Janet Ferguson says
Lincoln, I think you’re an author’s best friend then!
Janet Ferguson says
Thank you so much, Margaret! I hope you like them!! I do the same :)
Lincoln says
Glad to be of service! “Books read while you wait. Our purpose, our promise.” All other demands can take a number (next available number: 643, now serving: 7, estimated wait time: *yawn, stretch* Don’t rush me.)
Janet Ferguson says
LOL!

Hi Janet! Happy Monday! This avid reader enjoyed reading the Coastal Hearts series. As a retiree, I do not binge read a series. Since I follow many authors, I read the story when first released. I purchase multi-novel eBooks from new authors, if the price is right or if I missed part of a series. Just posted a review on Amazon for your multi-novel set. Enjoy your week.
Diana says
Yes and yes! I love to read series in order as it’s easier to follow even when they are stand alone books. I like box sets because I don’t have to search for the next book.
Trudy says
I don’t “binge read” series, as usually the whole series isn’t out when I start reading! However, I do buy boxed sets when they’re available!!
Lori R says
I do binge read a series unless I read the book as soon as the author publishes it.
Jessica B. says
I love reading series but I don’t binge read them. In general, I try to alternate between reading fiction and non-fiction which slows me down from bingeing and allows me to savor a series.
Valerie Comer says
Janet let me know that they might lose power today due to the hurricane passing through their area of the US. If she’s not here to reply to comments, please say a prayer for those in Ida’s path. Thanks.
Janet Ferguson says
Thank you for being so devoted!! Reviews are awesome and so important!!
Janet Ferguson says
That makes perfect sense! No trying to figure out the order!!
Janet Ferguson says
Right, it makes more sense if you get a little behind. I’m often a little behind, LOL!
Janet Ferguson says
Exactly the best plan :)
Janet Ferguson says
Thank you, Valerie! We are okay right now, praise the Lord!
Janet Ferguson says
Oh, that plan works! Savoring…I like that word!
Megan says
I’ve always wanted to go to Georgia and visit the islands down there. They sound so beautiful.
Trudy says
For most traditionally published series, you could wait YEARS before the series is complete to binge read the series! I read one series by an author as each one came out, spent quite a bit for her books. Then, when I became Mom’s caregiver and had to quit buying so many books, I re-read the series. Turns out that when I re-read them all in order, I became heartily sick of how goody-goody they were, and couldn’t relate to the characters any more. Even the few that were “bad” and so many good qualities, they weren’t believable any more, at least for me. I ended up selling that whole series to a friend!
Janet Ferguson says
It’s very pretty! I would love to visit again someday :)
Priscila Perales says
It’s been a while since I’ve binge read a series, but it was something I loved to do when I was younger. As for multi-novel ebooks, I love the option of having the whole series available, even if it may take me a bit to work through all of them :)
Janet Ferguson says
I feel the same! Sometimes I’m mad at myself when I miss them because of the value :)
Jcp says
A set is so much more convenient and usually a better deal.
Angeline says
Yes! I love binge readings series! I sometimes purchase multi-novel eBooks it depends on how much the books cost and how much I like them.
Janet Ferguson says
Convenience is nice!
Janet Ferguson says
I love a discount, ha!
Trixi says
I do binge read series & will often wait for the whole series to be out before I start reading. Unless I’m reviewing each book then I have to read them as they come out, re-reading the whole series over again because I forget details (I’m bad about that!). I hate starting the first book in a series to have to wait many months before the second, third, and etc to come out. Like I said, I forget details and then my enjoyment of the book decreases. So I’d rather binge-read :-)
I sometimes purchase multi-novel ebooks, it depends on the books & author. If I don’t know the author, I will most likely read the first book in their series to see if I like them enough to read the rest.
I’ve borrowed “Coastal Hearts” through KU because I’ve heard so much good things about them! And your post convinced me to go ahead and put them on the top of my TBR list. I would love to visit the Georgia coast one day, but I think your books will help me feel like I’m right there & give me a taste for what I can look forward to someday :-)
Jessica G says
I love to binge read series. Especially when they are new to me authors. Then I end up reading everything they’ve ever written. I purchase all types of eBooks!
Shannon Taylor Vannatter says
I grew up in a burb of Atlanta and still have family in the area, Janet. I never made it to Savannah or St. Simons though. Great pictures.
I used to read series novels as they released and wait on pins and needles for the next one. I don’t have as much reading time anymore though. I’ve got two unread 3 book series in my TBR pile at the moment. It’s really nice to binge read a series because you get the whole story. With a gap between books, I forget things that happened.
But I love the anticipation of waiting for the next book too. So I’m not sure which I like better. In the past, I’ve read each book as it released, then when I finished, binge read the series. I think that might be my favorite. That way, I got to enjoy the anticipation and still got the whole story in the end.
I’m not an e-book fan, so I’ve never bought the multi novel e-book series. I buy all my books in print. I’m old school. I like turning actual paper pages and having books on my shelf. The only time I ever read e-books is if it’s a favorite author and that’s the only way it comes. Somehow, I don’t feel like I really own the book unless I can see it on the shelf.
Janet Ferguson says
All of that makes sense. I used to do just print, but my eyes have gotten bad, and it’s so easy to make big font on the e-reader, ha! It is easier to find them on my shelf. I hope you get to go over to the Georgia coast sometime!
Janet Ferguson says
Ha! I’ve done that!
Janet Ferguson says
I’m bad about forgetting details, too! Even with my own novels, ha! Thank you so much for giving Coastal Hearts a try!! I hope you enjoy :) Maybe you’ll head over to Coastal Georgia some time!
Alicia Haney says
Hi, your books sound like great reads! How fun for you and your daughter, spending quality time together, I do whole heartedly believe in quality time with loved ones. I love reading series and stand alone books. I takes turns reading a series and then I will read a standalone. I do not read ebooks at all, I am not tech savvy at all, and I love to hold the book I am reading. Have a great week and stay safe.
Debra J Pruss says
I love bing reading series. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you.
denise says
I do binge read on occasion.
Janet Ferguson says
Me too!
Janet Ferguson says
You’re welcome! I hope you enjoy!
Janet Ferguson says
It was fun for our whole family! The guys don’t like getting in pics, LOL! I do love to hold a book. All of these are in individual paperbacks, but not the 3-book series since it would way too thick. :)
Hope you have a great week too!
Amy Perrault says
I do always & try to read then back to back always.
Sylvain P says
I love to binge read series books.
Natalya Lakhno says
I love this series <3
Janet Ferguson says
Thank you so much ❤️!
Janet Ferguson says
It can be fun 😀
Janet Ferguson says
They often connect well that way while the memory is fresh 😊
Melynda says
I do binge read series, but I also will sometimes intentionally read a different author in between books in series if I feel like binging is affecting my enjoyment of the series. I like multi-story ebooks, but tend to prefer them when they’re multi-author and not the same author.
Janet Ferguson says
That makes perfect sense to me :)
Janet Ferguson says
Wow! I hadn’t thought of that. I guess our tastes also change. I am not a big re-reader myself.
Susanne says
I have been to St. Simons a few times. It is really beautiful. I have binge read some series. It really depends on the series because I enjoy reading a variety of genres.
Dianne says
Sounds amazing. I usually wait for the series to be finished and then binge read it.
Janet Ferguson says
It is such a pretty place, but of course I’m a fan of most beaches, LOL!
Janet Ferguson says
Thank you! That’s a fun way to do it :)
