I love Christmas! Everything about the lights, decorations, music, food, and fellowship warms my heart each season. I love how cozy my house feels with the tree up, and I look forward to going home each evening and turning on the lights. It’s truly the most wonderful time of the year.
While all these things are fun, they are not the most important reason for the season. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ.
“The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.”
John 1:9 ESV
As believers, we are called to be the light of the world. Recently, I had a heart-to-heart conversation with a close friend who reminded me that I can fulfill this purpose by sharing my faith through my writing. Being a Christian romance author, I have the opportunity to infuse my stories with messages of God’s faithfulness, goodness, and love. As I write, I seek inspiration from the Lord, hoping that my words will touch the hearts of readers and bring them joy.
When I started working on The Thing About Mistletoe Kisses, my goal was to write a feel-good Christmas romance that left you with a smile on your face. I created a tiny mountain town which is the perfect setting for readers to immerse themselves and feel part of the community. The characters could be your son or daughter, friend or sibling, and everyone knows each other. You’ll probably want to have a meal at Deb’s Grill or take a trip with the family to cut down a Christmas tree at Spake Farms.
Rett Edwards is a grump, and Stella Spake is sunshine. They are the perfect match (yeah, right) to work together on her family’s tree farm. But he doesn’t know she’s had a crush on him since elementary school or that she’s never been kissed. And she doesn’t realize the scars of his past are what’s hardened his exterior.
I can’t wait for you to read their story, so I’m giving an ebook advanced reader copy to one winner. All you have to do to enter is tell me your favorite thing about Christmas.
Year after year, I’ve watched couples fall in love at the town gazebo. After all, it’s smack dab in the middle of town and in direct sight of my family’s Christmas tree stand. I’ve seen my fair share of kisses under the mistletoe, but I’ve never been on the receiving end of one.
When a series of unfortunate events prevents my dad from running the tree farm this season, he hires Rett Edwards to step in. Rett needs a job, and my dad needs help.
For someone who grew up in this town the same as me, you’d think he would appreciate the tourist attraction and smile once in a while. But he’s cold as ice, and I’m making it my mission to melt away his grumpiness.
You can pre-order your copy today. The book releases on December 21 and will be available on Kindle, paperback, and Kindle Unlimited.
*Giveaway is open for 24 hours. A Winner will be chosen on December 13, and the ebook will be delivered via Bookfunnel.

My favorite is being with my family. This will be the second Christmas that my mom is not with us. I have a lot of fond memories of Christmas with her that I will keep in my heart.

On my husband’s side, there are 19 grandchildren and one great-grand. I love watching all the kids together because Christmas is one of the few times during the year we’re all able to be together.

My favorite thing about Christmas is Jesus. Without Him, there really is no Christmas. With all that’s going on in our world, and all the busyness of the season, it’s sometimes hard to keep our focus on what is really important, and that without Him, there is really no meaning.

You are so right, Trudy! He’s truly the reason for the season!

I love the Christmas church services, back before I had kids I used to go to a beautiful candle lit service, but I also love the family one we go to now. There’s so much joy, you can’t help but praise God and thank him for sending us Jesus.

Our church always has a special Christmas Eve service and I love being there with my family.

My favorite thing besides celebrating Jesus’ birthday is the joy and generosity that you experience this time of year.

I spent many years of my adolescence alone and without friends because of bullying, so it is nice to be able to send a Christmas message to each of the friends that I have made from the age of 17 onwards. It is nice because over time I have gotten a small list of them.

The one thing that I enjoy the most about Christmas is celebrating the birth of our Savior. Thank you for sharing. God bless you.

Running late been a hot humid day again. But it’s cooling down now
Here we have different things cos its in summer. I love the Christmas movies, Carols, lights, etc.
But I think one of the things I like most is the Carols in Candlelight. We watch it on tv as I am not in the city. but We get to see the ones from Adelaide (that was this week) We will see the Sydney ones and then Christmas Eve from Melbourne.
Our town and most aussie towns have there own carols. Ours is Sunday night. Carols in the square. As its light til 8.30 it often starts in twilight and then the candle most will have (most now use the battery operated ones) and will sing community carols by candlelight. There will be some items and a message (Our town does only carols which makes it even better). unfortunately due to the noise suffering constant migraines I don’t go anymore as I just cant handle the noise and stimulation but I still love watching the ones they have on TV.
I am in a new home to me this year and have a small lounge room where I have my Christmas village set up and the main lounge room has the tree and stuff. (I have a large window which makes me feel like I am in a fishbowl cos its I need the window open to cool down at times. but I like I have Christmas items all over the house.
