For years I have said that I can do six things at a time, but the second you add a seventh, I’m done. I get overwhelmed, and nothing gets done very well. Over the past two years, I’ve had to increase that number more and more because I kept adding things without pruning others back. As my kids got older, we added things like college and boyfriends and fiancés, followed by diplomas and further education and upcoming weddings. I went back to teaching–just a couple of classes a week, but it all adds up.
Along the way, I kept writing, and for the most part, I somehow fit that in around everything else. Add to that trying to market in an increasingly difficult environment, owning and operating two businesses, and of course keeping up with two very connected extended families, and….
Well, you get the picture.
In the midst of everything, I’ve had the opportunity to start teaching small classes about personal growth and finances, which have both been huge blessings. The problem is that there are only 24 hours in a day, and doing one thing means you can’t be doing something else. So when it came time to renew my commitment to InspyRomance, I had to be honest. I have loved being here and sharing with all of you and getting to have a conversation with readers every month, but my well for what to write about is running dry.
It’s probably because I’m doing so many other things that to have the margin to be creative in finding ideas for posts has become more and more of a challenge.
You come here for inspiration and fun, and it’s been great to provide that since InspyRomance started. But I think, for the time being, I’m admitting to myself and to you that we’re coming up with more sand at the bottom of the well every month.
So, my dear friends and readers, for now, this is goodbye in this format. You will still be able to find my new books on Amazon, and I do have a Facebook Group, Staci’s FAN-tastic Readers if you’d like to find me over there.
I wish you all Happy Reading, and many, many thanks for your graciousness during my time here!
God bless!
Wishing you all the best.
I find that I need to refill the well at times.
Best wishes to you! I am going to check out your fb group.

Val, you were the reason I struggled so much with this decision. We’ve been through a lot since those first crazy days back in 2011. I pray God will keep you in His loving embrace. I’ll try not to be a stranger, but just know, that I am supremely grateful for your friendship through this crazy journey!!!

So true, Megan. I kept saying, “I could still….” But then, the more I thought about it, the more I had to be honest. Thanks for all your time conversing with me these past couple years. It’s been a blast!

Trudy,
I’m really hoping by next year after 2 weddings and 4 graduations that I’ll be super bored and maybe I’ll come back around. You never know what God’s got in mind.

God bless Staci! I can certainly understand having to cut things out of your life for your own sanity :-) Sounds like you are a busy person aside from writing! It also sounds like you have a wonderful extended family to enjoy. I pray the best God has for you in your life always!!
Good luck with all you have ahead of you!
Wishing you the best!
There is a season for everything and maybe this one is done. And maybe you’ll be back one day. I totally understand when one needs to cut back on some commitments. It is tough to make the decision but maybe there’s someone else that would love the opportunity to take your place. All the best with all the other irons you have in the fire.
Staci,
As you navigate the class 5 rapids ahead, know that we are cheering you on from the banks and are totally confident that you will come out the other side completely immersed in the love of your family and hollering a resounding “Woohoo!”
I have truly enjoyed our exchanges here at IR and pray that you will find a better balance with fewer plates to keep spinning.
Blessings!
P.S. I’m currently enjoying “Flight 259”. Remember you have a backlist that rocks!
Oh wow. I was not expecting that, but still, thank you for sharing that post! (It’s definitely made me think about evaluating some things in my life). Hope you find the rest you need, and may God bless you!
