Confession time: I love cheesy pick-up lines.
Why, you ask? I think it’s because I appreciate a good sense of humor. It’s a good thing I married a man with one, although I didn’t know how funny he’d become with time. (The dad jokes are strong with this one. Ha!) I also believe life is better when we can laugh together—and groan, snort, and roll our eyes. And we could all use a little more laughter this year, couldn’t we? So, I hope you’ll indulge me today as I share the top 10 cheesy pick-up lines I found on the internet.
- Feel my shirt. Know what it’s made of? Boyfriend material.
- Do you believe in love at first sight—or should I walk by again?
- Baby, if you were words on a page, you’d be fine print.
- Are you a magician? Because when I’m looking at you, you make everyone else disappear.
- Any chance you have an extra heart? Mine’s been stolen!
- I think there’s something wrong with my phone. Your number’s not in it.
- Is your name Google? Because you have everything I’ve been searching for.
- Do you have a map? I keep getting lost in your eyes.
- Do you have a BandAid? I just scraped my knee falling for you.
And my favorite…
10. You’re so beautiful that you made me forget my pick-up line.
LOL!
Alrighty, I hope you enjoyed those as much as I did. Have you heard of any cheesy pick-up lines that make you laugh or groan? Or what do you think about characters with a cheesy sense of humor? I’d love to hear what you think! Please share in the comments below.
Giveaway: I’d like to give away a digital ARC copy of my upcoming book, Love Pact with the Hero. While there are no cheesy pick-up lines in this story, there is a swoony, second chance romance. Two winners will be randomly chosen from the comments below. The giveaway will remain open until midnight on Wednesday, September 30th.
Here’s a look at all the covers in this one-of-a-kind Christmas series that will start releasing next month (mine will be on October 21st)! I hope you’ll check out the series page on Amazon HERE for this amazing round-up of Christian romances.

Lila Diller says
I love a good sense of humor — even cheesy! I hadn’t heard of these pickup lines before, but I loved them. My husband made me fall in love with him mainly for his sense of humor. And he has taught our boys well. There is rarely a day in our house when someone doesn’t crack a joke, share a meme, or deliver a groan-inducing one-liner! I love it!
Susan Brenning says
I loved your list that you found! I have an odd sense of humor and enjoy reading humor from those with different kinds of humor. For me that is a huge reason to buy a book. Humor takes me away and gives me the recharge I need to face reality again. Let’s keep laughing and making each other smile! I need to move on over to Amazon now and see what you’ve got;)
Liwen Y. Ho says

What a great post! Thanks for making me grin! I love a good sense of humor–in fictional characters and in my husband. :)
Nancy says
I do love humor in a story. Those are funny pick-up lines! But I don’t like them if they are just for a quick pick-up. That seems a bit too objectifying. I love to laugh!
Nancy says
And I love #6!!
Merrillee Whren says
I enjoyed those. I really loved #2.
Trudy says

Raised in a quite serious family, I loved my husband’s great sense of humor when we first met. Many yrs later, it remains one of the things I love most in him. I enjoy reading witty humor/dialogue and light novels, especially this past year.
I had no idea guys actually truly use “Pick Up” lines since no one I’ve known has every mentioned being on the receiving end of such ridiculousness. I guess it would be flattering. A few of those are clever, unless guys share them amongst themselves & roll them off like toilet paper. ;)
Alicia Haney says
Pretty funny pick up lines! I know I like the one “Have we met before, I know I recognize your Beautiful eyes!” Yep, we sure can use some good laughs , especially now a days. Thanks for sharing these pick up lines. The Heroe’s of Freedom Ridge sound so intriguing and all the covers are Beautiful! Your book sounds like a Great read! Have a Great rest of the week and stay safe.
Kathy Schnitz says
(Roll eyes! Groan! Laugh!). Those lines were great! I love books that make me laugh in places (truthfully, that make me cry, too). Thanks for the chance, and have a wonderful weekend!
Sandra says
I love Pick-up line number 7 as it’s really modern, and who hasn’t heard of Google. My son-in-law technically called our daughter ‘his lemon’ at their wedding saying they are going to make the best lemonade together. (He did explain that after they met, she had a series of sickness one after the other, and she had told him that he must think that he got a lemon when he got her, so she laughed hysterically when he said it at the wedding, but his elderly Grandma was horrified, saying ‘did he just call her a lemon?’)
Liwen Y. Ho says
Hi Penelope! Aww, I’m so glad you met your hubby! Haha, well, the only time I’ve seen guys use them is on TV or in the movies, so maybe (hopefully) no one uses them in real life? LOL. Thanks for reading and commenting!
Liwen Y. Ho says

Lincoln says
I love, Love, LOVE a good sense of humor. My wife and I will share jokes, funny lines (intentional or otherwise :) and we both will stop all other activities to enjoy a good belly laugh. That’s a great collection, although most of them make me cringe (occupational hazard of identifying with the guy in the scene, I guess). #10 is my favorite!
Pam K. says
I enjoy reading novels that include clean humor. I also like second chance romances. The Christmas collection looks very interesting.
denise says
Characters with a sense of humor are fun to read.
Somebody better call heaven; it’s missing an angel.
There’s something wrong with my cell phone–it doesn’t have your number.
Those two, plus the boyfriend material made it into a short story I wrote.

I love a man with a sense of humor & from pick up lines to awesome jokes. I still know ones from when I met my husband as a kid. Books with them just make life so real.
Sylvain Perrault says
I think books should be like real life & have pick up lines & hilarious jokes to keep the reader enjoying the book. I can’t live without my family having a sense of humor.

Because you have fine written all over you.
If I could rearrange the alphabet, I would put U and I together.
Dianne says
Lol, thank you for the jokes, they put a smile on my face. Out of the mouths of babes came “Control the controllables, smile/laugh and problem solve the rest” which seems pretty apt for vivid and your post. Thanks :)
Melynda says
I think cheesy pick up lines are hilarious! As long as the person saying them recognizes the cheesiness of them then they can be a funny and fun way to open a conversation.
Angela Ruth Strong says
In my book Finding Love in Big Sky, it’s Christmas time, and Josh says, “What are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be on top of a tree this time of year?” To which Paisley responds, “Aren’t you supposed to be giving Mary a ride to Bethlehem?” It made ME laugh anyway.
Liwen Y. Ho says
Hi Natalya! So glad you got a good laugh! I love the parking ticket one. LOL. Thanks for reading and commenting!
