Valentine’s Day comes to Riverbend!

Riverbend is the quaint little town in British Columbia, Canada, you wish you were from. It’s a community where everyone knows everyone and life is idyllic. It’s also a town where rather a lot of people are going to fall in love in the next year or two! In other words, Riverbend is the setting for a collection of novellas I’m releasing, starting with Secretly Yours.

I’m still in the midst of writing my Farm Fresh Romance series. The fourth book, Dandelions for Dinner, will release in March. But sometimes an author gets too much of a good thing and needs a break. In this case, I decided to intersperse five seasonal novellas—winter, spring, summer, fall, and Christmas—among the Farm Fresh Romances in 2015. And yes, that’s going to keep this author hopping!

What is Secretly Yours about?

Chef Lindsey Solberg agrees to cater the church’s Valentine’s Day fundraising banquet as a favor to her teen sister, but she’s shocked to discover the bad boy from her high school days is now Riverbend’s youth pastor. Seriously? How could he have changed that much? Nick Harrison has prayed for years for an opportunity to make amends. Now Lindsey’s back in Riverbend and won’t give him the time of day. What’s a guy to do except leave a trail of gifts from a secret admirer?

Lindsey’s heart takes a beating when she realizes the boy who was never good enough is now a far better man than she deserves.

I’ve never written a secret admirer story before, so this was a new adventure. It’s also only the second time I’ve written a novella this length, about 1/4 of one of my usual novels. The other time was Topaz Treasure, found in Rainbow’s End.
